I fell in love with The Maccabees when I saw them open for Bloc Party in 2007, and they have yet to disappoint me. Their music is always awesome, and this new single from their upcoming album, “Given to the Wild” is no exception. This song makes me so hyped for their new album which is due out January 9!! Youth Lagoon, musical venture of Idaho dreamboat Trevor Powers, won my heart as soon as I heard his music. He released his incredible album “The Year Of Hibernation” this year through Fat Possum records. With incredible dreamy melodies and completely honest lyrics, Youth Lagoon taps into parts of your heart you didn’t know existed. I had the opportunity to see Youth Lagoon open for another favorite Gardens & Villa and I immediately wanted to know when he was coming back to headline a show.
