The Kooks are a band who immediately won fans with their debut album “Inside In/ Inside Out” in 2006 with hits like “She Moves In Her Own Way” and “Ooh La”. They did it again in 2008 with the release of “Konk” and the incredible singles “Always Where I Need To Be” and “Shine On”. Finally, The Kooks are back with a stellar new album “Junk of the Heart”. The album is what you know and love from The Kooks but more mature and bold, with a perfect mixture of slower songs and upbeat songs made for dancing and singing along. Their sound is still a gorgeous renewed vintage but now with more contemporary elements. The Kooks are currently on tour and are in Philly tonight at the Trocadero! I am so excited to see them live again. Tickets are currently sold out, but I will make sure you know all about it this week! There are still some tour dates left in the US so make sure you get your tickets if they are not sold out yet (because they most likely will). If you have tickets, make sure you get to the show on time to see the opening band The Postelles. They just finished a tour with The Wombats and are awesome live.
