For all you bleeding hearts that weren’t lucky enough to get M83 tickets in the first 7 minutes they went on sale for the upcoming Union Transfer show, do not fret! M83 has announced today that he is extending his tour, with additional dates in Philly and Dallas (May 20th), and three new dates in the Northeast as he is playing NYC SummerStage on August 8th. The Philly show will take place on August 1st at the Electric Factory, so start your month off with a dance party of epic proportions. As if his stellar album Hurry Up We’re Dreaming, wasn’t enough, M83 decided to give us a new single EP to get our dance on to. The single EP, Reunion, which drops May 8th, features remixes from more artists I love, including: Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Mylo, Sei A, The Naked And Famous, Polly Scattergood, and White Sea. Since “Reunion” is one of my favorite tracks from Hurry Up We’re Dreaming, I can’t wait to hear the remixes from bands like Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. and The Naked and Famous. Tickets for the newly added Philadelphia show on Wednesday August 1st go on sale this Friday, through Ticketmaster, at noon. So if you learned anything from trying to get tickets to the sold out Union Transfer show on May 11th, it is to be online, on the M83 Philly concert page on Ticketmaster at 11:30 am (at least) refreshing until that fateful purchase button appears around noon.
