September 17 at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia was for anyone who loves emo, post-hardcore, and the flicker of adolescent heartbreak.

Kicking off the night was The Sleeping. They moved through fan favorites with raw urgency, their energy undiminished by years. The sound was crisp, guitars tight, drums solid, just enough roughness to remind you it once hurt, but also how good it is to remember.

When Bayside took over, the theater lights dimmed, and a different kind of electricity charged the room. It was their 25th Anniversary: “The Errors Tour,” a celebration of past wounds, triumphs, and everything in between. Songs from the early catalog hit hard: raw confessionals about loss, love, longing. Later tracks showed how the band has evolved—more mature, more layered, but still anchored in the same authenticity that built their following. The setlist wove between anthems “Duality,” “Devotion and Desire” and deeper cuts, giving longtime fans something to treasure and newer ones a fuller picture of the band’s arc. When the crowd joined in, every chorus felt like a shared exhale.

By the final notes, throats were raw and hearts full. This wasn’t just a show, it was proof of endurance, of how music becomes a home. Bayside may be 25; but as last night showed, those 25 years haven’t dulled anything.
