Bleachers

Jack Antonoff, one of our favorite creative minds in music, is back with new music via Bleachers! His anthemic new single called “Don’t Take The Money” released last week ushered in summer on the East Coast and already feels like the soundtrack of the summer. If this epic new jam is any indication of what the album, entitled Gone Now, is going to be like we want an advanced copy now. Antonoff officially announced the new Bleachers album is due out June 2nd, so here’s to pre-ordering as fast as you can!

“Don’t Take The Money” is out now and you can get your copy here! Bleachers will be touring for most of the summer starting with two sold-out dates in NYC and LA. See tour dates and ticket links below. Although there is no Philly date currently listed (come on Jack!), we can’t wait to see Bleachers at one of our favorite East Coast festivals, Firefly, this year! For tickets to Firefly Fest click here.

New Music Friday: Lorde’s infectious new single “Green Light”

3 Mar
screen-shot-2017-03-03-at-3-45-14-pm

Lorde releases our new JAM “Green Light” produced by Jack Antonoff, off her upcoming album Melodrama! Try not to dance to this for three hours in a row…

Good LORDE. When is the last time you got chills from a pop song? For me it was when I first heard the new Lorde single “Green Light” yesterday. I subsequently watched the music video on repeat for the rest of the day until finally buying the single to just accept putting the song on repeat was the way to go. In the words of my good friend Scott, “Praise the LORDE AND MELODRAMA. BLEST”. For us, this new Lorde single is our 2017 Robyn, “Dancing On My Own” and a no-shame dance-a-thon happens no matter where we are when this song comes on.

Scott of course was referring to the name of the highly anticipated new Lorde album, Melodrama. “Green Light” is the first single we are hearing from this new Lorde masterpiece. “Green Light” is the epic, anthemic pop song of the year you can’t help but move to and get moved by. The single is produced by musical genius Jack Antonoff (Bleachers, Steel Train, FUN.) and he makes brief appearance in the video playing the piano. The duo met up in October 2015 and proceeded to recorded the album together over 10 months, mostly in Antonoff’s home studio and portions in NYC’s Jimi Hendrix-founded  Electric Lady Studios. If this first single is any insight, this new album is going to be a massive, moving, story-telling, body-moving soundtrack of the year.

You can buy Lorde’s new single “Green Light” here, and just try to match how many times I’ve watched the video below:

Lorde will be touring the festival circuit this year starting with Coachella in April! For tickets and more tour information, click here.

Morning Jam: CRUISR “Throw Shade”

18 Jul

CRUISR

Move over Taylor Swift, this has to be the most upbeat, fun, f- you song I’ve heard in a while.

CRUISR
‘s new single “Throw Shade” released yesterday via Vagrant Records! You can get your copy via iTunes and Amazon now.

CRUISR recently played tour dates with Imagine Dragons and Bleachers and will be on the road again next week with Young Rising Sons! For tickets, tour information, and to see when you can catch CRUISR in your city click here!

Until then, listen to the new single “Throw Shade” and memorize the lyrics to sing back to the band below:

Lyrics:
When you meet your maker
Tell em i already know
It’s just an undertaker
When you sell your soul

So don’t you get me started
I don’t believe a word you say
Sayin’ she’s an artist
I thought you were a hurricane?

You’re dead to me
Rest in peace
You can let me be

If you wanna throw Shade
I’m gonna throw you away, no
If you wanna throw Shade
well honey i’ll see you never, see you never

No you’re nothing but an enemy
Trippin’ on a brand new brag
You found your fake identity

Spend your money on a Mai Tai
Then you’re sipping on a french rosé
I been saving for a Citywide
I give it all away

You’re dead to me
R.I.P.
You can let me be

If you wanna throw Shade
I’m gonna throw you away, no
If you wanna throw Shade
well honey i’ll see you never, see you never

Good riddance
I mean I’m really gonna miss you though
Good riddance
I mean it’s oh so sad to see you go

Morning Jam xx: Bleachers “I Wanna Get Better”

3 Apr

Bleachers

As longtime fan of Jack Antonoff (Steel Train was my JAM in high school and up until they called it quits…okay they’re still my jam), I was ecstatic to hear that he has a new project called Bleachers. FUN. was highly successful and all, but see Jack sing his own songs while he blows your mind playing his guitar is an electricity that ever music fan should feel.

I was even more excited to hear his new single “I Wanna Get Better”, a windows down, stereo UP shout-along jam you can listen to on repeat and not only never get sick of, but love a bit more every time. The single is from Bleachers’ debut album due out this Spring on RCA Records! He also performed the song Late Night with Seth Meyers, you can watch it now here.

Antonoff’s babe Lena Dunham (favorite couple alert) directed an incredible new music video for the song featuring some hilarious characters (watch now below). Bleachers are set to play some more shows including X Fest, Governors Ball, Wireless, Lollapalooza, and Firefly Music Festival this summer! To make sure you never miss a Bleachers show in a town near you, follow Bleachers on Songkick here!
