Jack Antonoff, one of our favorite creative minds in music, is back with new music via Bleachers! His anthemic new single called “Don’t Take The Money” released last week ushered in summer on the East Coast and already feels like the soundtrack of the summer. If this epic new jam is any indication of what the album, entitled Gone Now, is going to be like we want an advanced copy now. Antonoff officially announced the new Bleachers album is due out June 2nd, so here’s to pre-ordering as fast as you can!
“Don’t Take The Money” is out now and you can get your copy here! Bleachers will be touring for most of the summer starting with two sold-out dates in NYC and LA. See tour dates and ticket links below. Although there is no Philly date currently listed (come on Jack!), we can’t wait to see Bleachers at one of our favorite East Coast festivals, Firefly, this year! Don’t miss High Waisted, Weatherhead, Thin Lips, Free Throw and SOMOS at The Foundry tonight! Show starts at 7:30PM.
Tonight is a big night for Philly music fans, if you weren’t planning on partying this evening change your plans because five rad bands are in town playing a show together TONIGHT at The Foundry.
Among these bands is one that has one of my favorite band names of all time- High Waisted. These surf pop rock and rollers will be getting the party (and your dance workout) started early tonight when they open for SOMOS along with Thin Lips, Weatherhead, and Free Throw. High Waisted will be performing songs from their new album On Ludlow. The album has 12 tracks of pure, upbeat surf rock and pop songs with cheeky lyrics including “Shithead” and “Party in the Back”. The album is a summer road trip / beach day must-have and will have you dreaming of summer all winter long.
The show starts at 7:30PM tonight and you can get your tickets here or at the door. It’s a rarity to have this many great bands on one bill so make sure you get there on time so you don’t miss any of these stellar bands.

Philadelphia’s dream team Commonwealth Choir have just released their new single “Palace”. The vibrant, summery track was recorded in the band’s house in Fishtown and produced by their good friend Dan Pawlovich (currently drumming for Panic! at the Disco and formerly of Valencia/Illinois). The band is currently working on their first full-length release and after hearing this track, we can’t wait to hear more.
“Palace” is available for streaming on Spotify, listening on repeat via iTunes, and for making your beach vacation playlist on Soundcloud.
“Banana Bread” by Beaty Heart is a light, airy, addictive indie dance pop jam I can’t get enough of right now. The song will make you want to be at dance party on an island somewhere, long for summer, and really want some banana bread.
Listen to the song below and follow Beaty Heart on Facebook, Soundcloud, and Twitter. Beaty Heart has upcoming shows in the UK! To see tour dates and track when they are coming to a city near you, click here!
It’s hard not to smile when you first lay your ears on “Body Language” by Mausi.
The song is super fun, upbeat, cheeky, and anthemic! Perfect for a workout on the dance floor, “Body Language” will keep you warm with the feeling of summer in the upcoming winter months. “Body Language” is the lead track on Mausi’s new EP Autumn/Winter Collection available for free download here!
