So many incredible artists were up for the Mercury Music Prize this year. Of course I would love to see one of my favorite bands win the prize, Everything Everything (and I know they will definitely make another album that will be nominated), but I have to say I was so excited and happy for PJ Harvey to win the prize for the second time (after 10 years). Her album “Let England Shake” is a prime example of why such a prestigious prize for English artists should exist.
