RELIVE THE SHOW: Deap Vally’s Farewell Tour with Sloppy Jane at Underground Arts

Deap Vally brought their farewell tour to Philly this Friday at Underground Arts with Sloppy Jane. Photos by Becca Haydu.

The night began with the avant-garde sounds of Sloppy Jane, led by the captivating Haley Dahl. Dahl’s stage presence was magnetic, drawing the crowd into the surreal world of Sloppy Jane’s music.

Deap Vally blessed the crowd by playing their album “Sistrionix” in its entirety in honor of their farewell tour. The duo Lindsey Troy and Julie Edwards wasted no time in launching into their signature brand of gritty, blues-infused rock. (Think The White Stripes meet Led Zeppelin, but somehow they’re even better.)

Deap Vally is truly incredible and we will miss hearing new music from them! We can’t wait to see what other projects lie ahead in their future.
