STS9 made their way back to Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia on April 12, 2026 to deliver an experience that has been the hallmark of their two-plus decades of musical legacy. They were joined on stage by the rising producer called Thought Process.
The event felt like a sonic experience with STS9 providing their iconic combination of live musical instrumentation along with an electronically sounding exploration.

Thought Process opened the evening’s performance with a bass set and helped to set the tone for the evening. His reputation is built on performing detailed sound designs that create moving build-ups of emotion and he constructed the set with atmospheric textures and pinpoint placed sonic drops that built the excitement of the room.
Thought Process’ performance technique and style fit perfectly with the headlining act and intentionally focused on providing an experience for the audience that centered around immersion rather than spectacle, and he took the early show-goers and placed them into a trance-like groove that thickly enveloped more and more of the crowd as the rest of the room’ patrons arrived.

When STS9 took to the stage, Brooklyn Bowl had become an extremely dancing and physically interactive space where the band quickly and easily flowed between songs in a two-set performance with seamless transitions and extended improvisational segments.

As clearly as anything has ever been, what most struck me was the collaboration between freedom and precision. Using drums, keyboards, bass, and electronics to create one cohesive live set, STS9 had this incredible ability to create a constant sense of pushing and pulling among the audience.
