I have to say I have had a royally epic weekend. Two of my favorite people in the world were married Friday night, I spent my entire bank account at Record Store Day yesterday at some of my favorite shops (the money loss is sad but worth it), and took my Mom to see one of my childhood heroes, Paula Cole, live from the front row. Although Philly has had a dramatic change of weather (for the colder), I am excited to end my weekend by seeing two of my favorite bands whose music reminds me of summer. Splashh, who are making their Philadelphia debut, have a new album Comfort coming out June 2nd, and it is available now for pre-order in the UK here and US here. They’ve won my heart over with their singles “All I Wanna Do” and “Vacation”, so I am so excited to hear those songs and some new tracks off of Comfort live tonight when they open for Generationals. I can’t wait to get my dance on tonight and end this weekend the perfect way, by seeing two amazing and fun bands, forgetting that tomorrow is Monday the start of the workweek, and just living up the weekend for every last moment left of it. The show starts at 9PM tonight at Johnny Brenda’s and tickets are only $12 at the door, so make sure you come out tonight and have a dance off with me during Splashh and Generationals!
