We’ve been following Rock and Roll Queen / band leader ZouZou on the road with one of our favorite bands Soraia and she is giving us ultimate access to her tour diary. Stay tuned for everything Soraia and what it’s like to be a badass rock singer (with an upper-respitory infection) as the tour progresses! The band plays in D.C. tonight and Baltimore tomorrow, don’t miss the rest of these epic shows!
Just a quicker update from the road….
Unfortunately, my being sick got worse when it was time to play Cincinnati, so we had to cancel the show. What a beating. Waiting all this time to finally get out on the road and play your music to people, and to cancel shows is–it sucks.
By Wednesday’s Wapakoneta show, I was back to feeling like the mad ass killer I’m used to, and the show was AMAZING. Voice was stellar, band was on fire, and everyone loved it.
We stayed and had breakfast pizza (they always make us breakfast pizza at Route 33) and headed back.
Muncie, IN and Chicago, IL were both great shows, too.
To bring us up to date real quick, the last show we did was last night in Dayton, OH at Blind Bob’s Bar, which I adore that place. We have some good friends that come there, and it’s just a laid back crowd, and a good show, especially for a Sunday night.
One of the best shows of tour so far. And we needed that. Everyone felt good, and the crowd was into it–always a great feeling.
We have the day off for travel. and I’ll try and get more daily updates to you guys this last week of tour. Sorry I couldn’t update a little more last week. We hit the road today for our next show in DC at Slash Run tomorrow night.
It’s been a struggle being sick and having it affect the shows, but I’ve come to accept it is what is is, and that’s usually how it’s supposed to be. Whether I understand why or not. And I’m ok with that today. I love the unknown X factor of living music, and the surprises that come with it—this one—notsomuch….>:)
Catch you guys in a few days….
xx ZouZou
