Saosin headlined Underground Arts in Philadelphia, PA earlier this week, supported by opening acts Body Thief and Secrets. As their current frontman Anthony Green is on hiatus, former frontman Cove Reber returned for this tour after 14 years.
Hearing about this show activated my inner emo kid like a sleeper agent. I listened nonstop for weeks to mentally prepare for it, I dressed the part, I teased my hair, I did it all. My partner made fun of me, saying it was time to cancel Spotify Premium. Nevertheless, I was so ready for this show.
The show opened with Body Thief, who did a great job at warming up the crowd. Shortly following was Secrets, who really understood the assignment and energized the place. The pit opened up. Someone got shoved into me, causing my camera to smack me in the face. I have a bruise on my chin. Worth it.

Finally, the moment we were all waiting for: Saosin took the stage. At this point, the crowd was so packed and the air was so thick, you could barely breathe. Energy was high, everyone had been anticipating this.
Saosin rocked the house with fan favorites, like “I Can Tell There Was An Accident Here,” as well as “Seven Years,” where they pulled an eager fan onstage to sing along. They closed out their encore with “You’re Not Alone,” which proved to be a solid ending to a wild night.
Saosin will continue their 20 Years of Tears tour in select locations across the U.S through the end of summer, and then will be playing several festivals this fall.
