Pop sensation Conan Gray has established himself as one of the most talented singer-songwriters of his generation, and seeing him live only reaffirms that. Gray’s stage presence feels innate—like he was born to perform. Every moment on stage radiates his passion for performing, his love for it coming through in every song. His bond with fans is electric, transcending typical artist-audience interactions. While we’ve seen snippets of his quirky and charismatic exchanges with fans online, nothing compares to experiencing it firsthand. The energy between Gray and the crowd feels like a rare, perfect synergy.
In today’s music landscape, it’s no longer just about performing; fans crave connection, and Conan Gray delivers that in spades. His music resonates with a diverse audience, creating a shared space where people come together over a mutual love for his art. Whether it’s mothers and daughters, best friends, or first-time concertgoers experiencing his show alone, the room is filled with a collective bond centered on the music.
We spoke with some concert attendees to get their take on Gray’s performance:
“Conan was by far one of the best pop stars I’ve seen. I loved how interactive he was with everyone and his stage presence was incredible. His show will for sure be remembered as one of the most touching, animated performances on my concert list” – Nikki Dunne
“Conan Gray took command of the Skyline Stage at The Mann. With his incredible stage presence, he had the audience’s undivided attention throughout the entirety of the show. After wanting to see him for years, I was completely in awe at his performance.” – Kendyl Mullarkey
This show exceeded all expectations. It’s rare to see an artist who not only captivates an audience but also leaves them speechless with raw talent. Conan Gray delivered a performance that felt magical, and if given the chance to see him again, we’d do it in a heartbeat.
We also had the pleasure of catching Maisie Peters’ set, an artist we weren’t very familiar with beforehand. If there’s one thing we love at My Life In Sound, it’s discovering new favorites through opening acts, and Maisie Peters was no exception.
From the moment Peters began her first song, we were hooked. Her warmth and infectious energy were evident throughout the set, and much like Gray, she never stopped smiling. Peters’ rapport with the crowd was incredible, with many fans clearly there to support both her and Gray. Her set felt like watching an old friend perform—comfortable, fun, and full of heart. By the end, we knew she’d be on heavy rotation in our playlists.
