Marlon Hoffstadt, also lovingly known as DJ Daddy Trance, quickly rose to fame in the Berlin nightclub scene with his natural ability to combine trance, eurodance, hard house and techno into an infectious feel-good pop package. This genre has caught the attention of a very diverse audience, especially among the TikTok rave crowd. With his rapid ascent in popularity, it was only a matter of time until the rest of the world took notice and this trajectory recently led to him performing in front of an immense crowd of 70,000 at the EDC festival main stage in Las Vegas, NV.
This past weekend marked another iconic milestone for Hoffstadt as he performed at the historic Knockdown Center in NY where his signature upbeat club atmosphere was in full display. Compared to EDC, he had an opportunity to play a full-blown all-nighter of a set which was absolutely popping off with seemingly tireless energy from both him and the fans. The vibes were incredible with the crowd completely immersed in music as he delivered nonstop high-energy deep kicks, catchy transitions, and skillful track layering. Every moment felt like a genuine high point especially when he performed his latest hit single, “Supersonic/Hands Up in the Sky.” The “Pump It” remix was such a legendary moment along with fan favorite banger, “I Got You.” The sweat from the crowd flowed gloriously and endlessly and this show will undoubtedly be one of the top DJ sets of the year.
Hoffstadt embodies the true spirit of modern electronic music and fosters a community with an energy that is just deeply fun and infectious. This weekend fully reaffirmed that he is one of best DJs on the scene.
