MARINA performed to a sold out show in New Haven, CT on September 20, 2025, at College Street Music Hall. Fans were queued around the block waiting to enter the venue, and the excitement was palpable. The atmosphere was anticipating seeing the Princess of Power take to the stage.
The PRINCESS OF POWER show was stylized like a videogame with the projection screen telegraphing which of the 6 “levels” the audience was embarking on with MARINA at any time. Being active since 2005, MARINA had a vast discography to pull from, and she specifically curated her setlist into level-like mini-sets:
Level 1: Star Fields
Level 2: Familiar Hells
Level 3: The Cocoon
Level 4: Digital Fantasies
Level 5: Party Paradiso
Level 6: Keys to the Castle
While some artists may have organized their setlist like a time capsule, going through their different albums chronologically, MARINA instead went a different route, grouping the songs into a 6-act storyline. With light choreography, MARINA powerfully showcased the different personas she’s had over the years, from Electra Heart to Princess of Power. This was the first time she has performed in Connecticut, and the New England state made sure to show plenty of love, singing along to hits like “Final Boss” and “How to Be a Heartbreaker.” By the end of the show, it was easy to tell that MARINA had as much fun as her fans did.
According to the venue’s website, for each ticket that was sold, $1 went to The Marina Fund, which “supports LGBTQ+ individuals and civilians affected by conflict by funding community-led organizations that provide life-affirming services, mental health care, and humanitarian relief.”
