Active Child is a musical project of Pat Grossi who used to be a choir boy and now makes dynamic, soulful indie music. On his new record “You Are All I See”, his voice is so incredible you can immediately tell he has a choral background; but his songs take on a whole new territory with layering, drums and flashes of classical elements like the harp. The track “Way Too Fast” (which seems like a post-breakup slam) makes you think “good goddess I would never want break up with this kid”. The upbeat, fun, and sexy track “Playing House” (ft. How To Dress Well) makes you think “good goddess how could you ever break up with this kid… and where’s the nearest chapel?!”. All jokes aside, another favorite track from “You Are All I See” is the epic and hauntingly beautiful track “Hanging On”.
