One of the hardest working men in music with the voice of an angel, Hugo Manuel, from Jonquil and Chad Valley is releasing new music via Chad Valley this month. His new record Young Hunger, out October 30th, features the classic brilliant dance tracks fit for your dream-life movie directed by John Hughes one can only expect from Manuel. The album features a little help from his friends Twin Shadow, Glasser, Active Child, my future husband Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, and more! Some of my favorites from the album are “I Owe You This” featuring Twin Shadow, “Fall 4 U” featuring Glasser, “Up and Down” and my favorite the title track “Young Hunger”. Also, you know my life is complete now that my two favorites Chad Valley and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs have a track together, conveniently titled “My Life Is Complete”. The song “My Girl”, featuring Jack Goldstein, borrows some lyrics from Spice Girls, which being Ginger Spice for Halloween, I can’t help but love. Chad Valley will be playing a couple of shows in North America including dates in NYC for CMJ so make sure you check him out live if you get the chance and pick up his record, Young Hunger, from your local record store October 30th!
