Indie rock goddess Cat Ridgeway is heading to Buffalo, NY to play Rec Room on October 15th – you do not want to miss this epic show!
Orlando-native Cat Ridgeway just released her new single ‘Epilogue‘ – an explosive new track that will get your body moving for 3 minutes and 21 seconds in an epic dance workout. The new single is a gorgeous taste of her upcoming album Sprinter due out next Spring 2025.

The song serves as a dissertation on Cat Ridgeway‘s relationship with religion and death, Cat says of the new track:

“‘Epilogue’ is so striking and gives folks a deeper look into my inner world… it’s the perfect song to introduce this new era. Plus, it’s just fun as hell to play,” says Ridgeway. “Distorting and smacking a banjo until your palms bruise is always a good time for everyone involved!”
Cat Ridgeway excels not only in her lyricism and songwriting, she also is a skilled self-taught multi-instrumentalist who can build her songs through guitar, trumpet, trombone, harmonica, piano, bass, mandolin, and drums. She has synesthesia, and experiences seeing colors, shapes, and textures when she creates and listens to music, intensifying her creative process.
For her upcoming album Sprinter Ridgeway plays multiple instruments on the new album, but also invited many other talented artists to play on Sprinter including: Mike Savino (Kishi Bashi, Tall Tall Trees), Claude Coleman, Jr. (Ween) and Josiah Wolf (WHY?) on drums, and Adam Schatz (Sylvan Esso, Japanese Breakfast) on sax, with mastering by Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, Foo Fighters).
Sprinter will show a more indie-rock side to Cat’s music, whereas her previous releases including 2020’s Nice to Meet You and 2015’s Passenger Seat have a more Americana-leaning sound… no matter the genre, one thing is for sure- Cat Ridgeway rocks and is an absolute force to catch live! “We debuted most of Sprinter at shows over the summer, and the energy we’ve been with been met so far has been nothing short of electric. We had our first mosh pit open up at our last hometown show, and it was SICK,” says Ridgeway. “I’ve felt very understood and seen for the first time, and it’s allowed me to connect with people (especially those who listen for the lyrics) on a much deeper level. We’re skipping the small talk and diving straight in now, and I adore that.”
