Last Wednesday, artists Model/Actriz and LEYA performed to a packed crowd at Philadelphia’s First Unitarian Church.
LEYA opened the evening with a slow burn. Their compositions felt intimate yet expansive. These contrasts—between beauty and unease, clarity and blur—set the emotional tone for the night.Â
Then Model/Actriz strode in, and the energy shifted. Their presence demanded attention— fierce, theatrical but grounded in vulnerability. The set wove through songs filled with lust, shame, desire, and moments that squeezed your chest. Tracks like “Cinderella” felt like centerpieces.
Overall, this was a space where performance and lived feeling overlapped. The shadows of the church, the light play, the crowd—everything worked together to amplify what both LEYA and Model/Actriz do best: expose, provoke, enthrall.Â
