Flying Lotus
Friend of Radiohead and absolute dreamboat Flying Lotus plays the NPR Music showcase tomorrow after releasing his new album, Until The Quiet Comes. You can stream the full record here. Flying Lotus has been one of my favorite men to see live, and hearing him play new tracks from the gorgeous album is a perfect mid-week dance break.

When I heard the summery and fun track “Blue Meanies” from Opossom it was love at first listen. I can’t wait to finally see him live on Saturday at the Bowery Presents showcase! Opossom’s new album Blue Hawaii if filled with fun, dancey tracks with gorgeous harmonizing vocals and is out now!

Wild Nothing, get outta my dreams get into my car!!! Wild Nothings new album Nocturne is beautiful, romantic, chill worthy and dance worthy, basically everything I love. I am definitely trying to see them this Saturday night!

Citizens!
London natives Citizens! have travelled across the pond to play 6 shows in NYC this week! I fell in love with their music when I first heard “True Romance” the first single off their debut album Here We Are out now! This music video makes me want to go to their shows and just make out with the first hot stranger I see…aka, the whole band.

Melbourne-based Strange Talk make all my dance dreams come true. It was love at first listen when I heard their single “Cast Away” from their debut album due out early next year. French Horn Rebellion
How cute are these two brothers? Their song “This Moment” and video have made my day/month/year/life. I just want to take them to roller disco where their music is the soundtrack (and maybe some Bee Gees) and skate/dance until dawn. I absolutely can’t get enough of their incredibly uplifting dance sound!

Keep your dancing shoes on for NYC natives Avan Lava! Their Flex Fantasy EP is a dance lovers’ dream. Seeing them live most definitely can count as this month’s dance workout! Who needs a gym membership?

Lowlakes
Dreamy Melbourne-based band Lowlakes have just released their hypnotizing and dark new single “Cold Company”. The track is absolutely beautiful. Making their US debut in NYC this week, you have three chances to see them live in NYC. Next week, they will be playing Silverlake Lounge in LA.
