I am obsessed with this track “14 Hours” by Society. The song is rock and roll with some serious soul. The vocals are knee-weakening and the horn section and bassline make your body move, while the bursts of gospel choir vocals brings the track to even more epic heights. The man behind the project is 24-year-old London-based singer/songwriter James Girdler who says of Society:
“This project has been a total labour of love for almost two years now. After countless nights making drones with amazing bits of old gear we’re very excited to let this project step out of the shadows.”
I am forever grateful it has been brought out of the shadows, I can’t wait to hear more from them! “14 Hours” is available now for download on iTunes, and will release on limited edition 7″ vinyl via Angular Recording Corporation on September 9th!
