lovelife

Again, this is another epic weekend to be in Philly! Tonight I am super stoked to go to the sold-out The Neighbourhood show at Union Transfer with UK band Lovelife opening! I first saw Lovelife at SXSW this year and they immediately made everyone in the room dance, even the people that were trying to be too cool to pay attention. Lovelife is just coming off a tour with dance-masters AlunaGeorge, so I can’t even imagine how epic their opening set will be tonight! Lovelife are touring in support of their third EP Stateless which released earlier this month. Listen via Spotify now:

The Neighbourhood are playing their second sold-out headlining show at Union Transfer tonight after the release of their epic debut album I Love You. The band stole all of our hearts with the release of “Sweater Weather” then brought us in for the kill with their hauntingly beautiful collection of tracks on their debut. The Neighbourhood just released a new music video for their new single off the record “Afraid” just in time for Halloween and to get you pumped for the show tonight! Watch now:

Saturday Fuck Buttons are heading to Voyeur to play Making Time!!! Making Time is always rad, this is definitely a party you want to go to. The party runs from 9PM-3:30AM with three floors of dancing, and from 9pm-11pm there will be FREE Heineken and Tecate (miss you TX!!) and Sailor Jerry Rum drinks until they run out! There are also free hotdogs all night long if you trust that shit, but let’s be real, there is always an hour of night where you are hungry and don’t care.

Tickets to this rager are only $10 and you can get them free of charge at heaven..I mean…the Dr. Martens Store at 1710 Walnut St. or Last Drop Coffeehouse at 13th and Pine! If you are too lazy to walk anywhere (no judging) you can purchase your ticket online here!

strange-talk-

Sunday, Australian dream team Strange Talk head to Philly’s newest venue Boot & Saddle to set the dance floor on fire! Bands Junior Prom and The Griswolds are supporting and guaranteed to get the show started off right. Strange Talk will be so great to see at such an intimate venue! Boot and Saddle, though new, is quickly becoming one of my favorites in Philly. Tickets are only $10 and you can get them here! Show starts at 9PM, make sure you get there on time so you don’t miss the opening bands, they always tend to become your favorite new bands.

Philly, this weekend is bound to be epic, full of sweat, dancing, and fun! Stay safe this weekend and see you on the dancefloor!

xx Cher
