Yesterday was Brandon Boyd’s birthday. Today with the release of Incubus’ new single “Nimble Bastard”, forthcoming album 8, and summer tour with Jimmy Eat World announced, it might as well be our birthday.
The new single from the forthcoming album, 8, (aptly named as it is their eighth album release as a band), hits hard with slaying, gritty guitars, deep, heavy bass, and blood-pumping drums reminiscent of A Crow Left Of The Murder and Light Grenades. Boyd’s vocals, like the band, haven’t aged a day, and they cut through the epic, raw, instrumentals straight to the heart like an electric shock. This is a windows down, volume up jam perfect for the summer tour they’ve just announced with Jimmy Eat World. That’s right, Incubus and Jimmy Eat World announced a ton of tour dates for this summer with Judah and the Lion. The tour will be stopping in Camden, NJ, on July 20th at the BB&T Pavilion! Pre-sale starts tomorrow, February 17 at 12pm (local time) except Dallas and the pre-sale password is nimble8. Dallas pre-sale is February 18 12pm (local time) with the same pre-sale password.
