This past Saturday MILLY, along with GEL, Soul Blind, and headliner punk band Fiddlehead, packed Philly’s Union Transfer for a night of raw energy, diverse soundscapes, and palpable passion. Each band brought its unique flair to the stage, making for a memorable evening.


Kicking off the night was MILLY, whose dream-pop and shoegaze influences created an ethereal atmosphere. We couldn’t wait to catch MILLY play songs from their new album Your Own Becoming out now via Dangerbird Records– get your copy here!

The band’s set featured lush soundscapes and introspective lyrics that captivated the crowd. The set showcased the band’s ability to blend shimmering guitars with emotive vocals. The crowd swayed along, lost in the music’s immersive quality.

Next up was Soul Blind, whose grunge-infused alt-rock sound immediately captivated the audience. Their set was a nostalgic nod to the ’90s, with heavy, distorted guitars and melancholic vocals. The band’s performance was tight and cohesive. Their stage presence was understated yet compelling, allowing the music to take center stage. Listen to and buy their album Feel It All Around here!


Following Soul Blind was GEL.

GEL took the stage with an explosive energy that immediately electrified the room. Their hardcore punk sound was intense and unrelenting, with frenetic guitar riffs and aggressive vocals. Closing the night was Fiddlehead, whose melodic hardcore sound struck a perfect balance between aggression and melody. The band’s emotional intensity was evident in every song, with heartfelt lyrics and passionate performances. The crowd responded with equal fervor, singing along to anthems Fiddlehead‘s ability to connect with their audience on such a profound level was the highlight of the evening, ending the show on a high note.
