this week in shows xx: 4 days of AWESOME! Philly is graced with Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Eytan and the Embassy, Alt-J, and Bloc Party this week!!!!!!

This week is jam packed with crazy good shows in Philadelphia, starting tonight at The Blockley with a late night DJ set from one of my favorite bands, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. starting at 9PM. Get your tickets here!

Tomorrow night the ultra-fun Brooklyn cats in Eytan and the Embassy will be playing a show at Milkboy! The show starts at 9PM and you can get your tickets here. So strap on your dancing shoes and dress as your favorite artist in the video below and meet me there!

Friday, the absolute dreams known as Alt-J will be playing at Johnny Brenda’s and the show starts at 9:30 PM. You can get your tickets here. If you couldn’t already tell with my previous Alt-J obsessed posts, Alt-J has been one of my favorite bands since I first heard their music. Every song I hear by them I’ve loved. Their debut album An Awesome Wave released in UK/EU/AU in May is already gaining well deserved award-nominating attention. An Awesome Wave comes out in the US on September 18th so Friday is the perfect time to hear new songs before the album drops! Or you can memorize all the misheard lyrics and throw the crowd off a bit for fun.

Following the release of their brilliant new album Four, Bloc Party are back to play Philadelphia at the Trocadero on Saturday!!!! The show was originally set for Tower Theatre but recently got moved. If you have your tickets to the Tower you can use them for the new venue, just make sure you get to the Trocadero for the show at 8. Tickets are still available here!

So many shows this week to look forward to, this week is definitely going to be rad!!!

xx Cher
