Two incredible bands are in town tonight so make sure you are spending your thirsty Thursday listening to good music.
Snowden is back on tour supporting his epic new album No One In Control out now. The album is dark, ethereal, and definitely danceable. After hearing him play tracks from the album live at Johnny Brenda’s I can easily say that hearing Snowden live brings a whole new life to the music. Doors are at 8PM and Snowden plays at 10PM, so from 8-10PM you can enjoy the Tigerbeats djs you are used to getting sweaty with on Monday nights at The Barbary. The show is only $8 so bring all your friends who usually say they are too poor to do fun things and get your tickets here or at the door!
Check out Snowden’s fresh new music video for “So Red”, one of my favorite songs from No One In Control:

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin is playing Milkboy in Philly tonight to support their amazing new album Fly By Wire. After first listen, I knew it was going to be one of my favorite albums of summer. Seriously, the album starts out with a track called “Harrison Ford”, I knew my heart didn’t stand a chance… The second track “Young Presidents” is one of my favorites. “Young Presidents” is lighthearted, upbeat, super catchy, and easy to sing, clap and dance along to. I can’t wait to hear it live! The album has an upbeat, cheerfulness to it you can’t help but feel good listening while you are listening. Fly By Wire is like a ray of sunshine on those rainy summer days, and considering we’ve been/ will be having rain for the next couple of weeks, this record will definitely be in heavy rotation in my headphones. Their debut single from the record “Nightwater Girlfriend” is a grungy, addicting, indie classic meant should be on your road trip soundtrack. Listen below!
