YES!!!! What a great day! New music was released today from one of my favorite artists and (no pun intended) friend-crushes Samantha Urbani and her band, Friends, through Lucky Number music. On immediate listen, the smooth 80s-reminiscent power ballad “The Way” seems like a totally new sound for the band, while still remaining true to the Friends classic dreamy, playful pop roots I fell in love with through their album Manifest!. “The Way” shows growth and experimentation and signs of a new sound for their next album. After hearing this track, I couldn’t be more excited!
