Three hours ago Disclosure dropped an epic new track “Apollo”, which I am taking as an apology for the fact that they postponed their sold-out Philly show tomorrow a mere couple of days ago due to scheduling conflicts with the Mercury Music Prize ceremony which happens Wednesday in London.
Although, as a mega-fan I am completely stoked that their flawless debut album Settle was nominated for such an esteemed prize, this taste of new music makes it hurt a little more that Philly fans won’t be able to dance to “Apollo” or any of their other tracks live tomorrow night…or ever until next June when they were able to reschedule.
Let’s hope that the boys win the prize, and here’s to dancing to their album in our rooms, in our cars and at house parties, until we can relive the dance party that is Disclosure live again June 9th at Union Transfer.
