Something has me completely drawn to this track “Get Up” by Young Fathers from their Dead album. This song is unlike anything I’ve ever heard before. “Get Up” is a complete mixture of sounds, it has something for everyone and cannot be pigeonholed into a genre. The track is haunting yet upbeat and nostalgic while still sounding new and exciting.
Young Fathers are currently on tour in the UK but will stopping in the US to play SXSW and I am definitely going to catch them while I am there. I would love to see their music performed live, like their songs I’m sure their live shows are completely eclectic and whole lot of fun.
