Avalon Emerson lit up Philly’s favorite transcendental party Making Time at W.O.W– after the renowned DJ, producer, and artist released her debut album Avalon Emerson & The Charm on her new label Another Dove. The album is an electronic pop dreamscape to get lost in- which makes Philly’s Making Time the perfect setting for her live show.
True to Making Time‘s transcendental theme, W.O.W. was transformed with visuals by Klip Collective, the scene was set as Avalon Emerson and her band brought the album and her sound dreamscape to life.
As the crowd danced among the fog and lights, Avalon Emerson & The Charm was a gorgeous soundtrack. The Charm band currently features Avalon Emerson‘s wife Hunter Lombard and life-long friend Keivon Hobeheidar. The band may change as the project progresses, but Avalon Emerson will still lead the way with dream pop songs to get lost in. She wants the project to remain open to evolve and feature new collaborations with other artists.
The album started as an evolution for Emerson, who created it while on an extended break from her chaotic life as a touring DJ. While inspired by artists on the fringes of pop including Cocteau Twins and Arthur Russell, Avalon Emerson created an upbeat yet vulnerable album that highlights her, emotions, voice and her expertise in crafting dreamy pop jams.
