Kicking off the month of June on the Philly concert scene, glam rockers Starcrawler open for hardcore punkers The Distillers at Union Transfer. Philadelphia last saw the young quartet headline a show at Johnny Brenda’s in February last year.
The band has kept busy with a good amount of activity since then, dropping a one-off single (with a kickass b-side, to boot!) late last year as well as being featured most recently on the soundtrack for the remake of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary with a remake of their own—The Ramone’s title track to the film.
Earlier this month, Starcrawler released a black and white video for their latest single—and lead from the forthcoming record, “She Gets Around.”
If you love their intense music videos, wait until you see front woman Arrow de Wilde and lead guitarist Henri Cash in action Saturday night… you’ll be in for a treat if you have tickets for this long-since sold out gig. Make sure you get there early, as Starcrawler is a visual and sonic delight.
If you’re reading from elsewhere than the Philly area, you can see Starcrawler headline Europe this summer or catch them opening select dates on one of the hottest US tours this summer, The Night Running Tour with Beck, Cage the Elephant and Spoon. All tour dates can be found here!
