After a highly praised run of dates opening for The Struts’ Body Talks Tour last year, White Reaper kept busy working on their upcoming third full-length (release date, TBA) and recently signed with Elektra Records and had a few opening slots for fabulous Las Vegas’ The Killers.

May 29th saw the first new music offering from the group since their critically-acclaimed 2017 record, The World’s Best American Band, in the form of lead single, “Might Be Right.” The single kicks off with a keyboard intro from Ryan Hater that is reminiscent of a fun baseball outing, setting up for the fat groove laid down by Sam Wilkerson’s bassline and Nick Wilkerson’s dancey beat. The song notably features a more subdued vocal delivery from lead singer/guitarist, Tony Esposito that is a changeup from his usual rawer sound, but it shows a nice diversity to his range. Proving they’re still the world’s best American Band, “Might Be Right” also features the signature White Reaper guitarmonies we all know and love between Esposito and longtime touring guitarist—now officially signed on!!—Hunter Thompson. Check out the video for “Might Be Right,” here:
